Jacy and Ryan met at Oreganos where the bride was the waitress. The groom was so taken with her he left his number with the tip. They were married May 4, 2014. Jacy made a beautiful bride in a strapless gown with beaded detailing. Her wedding dress was fitted to the hips before finishing in a pintucked skirt. The bride wore her hair in an up-do with a tiara. Her bridesmaids expressed their individual personalities through dresses of purple and silver in different styles. The groomsmen were more uniform in grey tuxedos with white shirts, and vests, however they did vary the color of their ties from silver to purple as well. The groom wore a dark grey tuxedo with a black and silver striped tie.
A white runner lined with white and purple flower petals led the bride to her groom where he stood in front of an altar decorated with purple flowers, candles, white lights and strands of pearls. The officiant of the ceremony was the grandfather of the bride.
The purple and silver theme continued throughout the reception with dining tables finished with purple and silver Hershey’s kisses and three tiers of vases with a purple rose in each with a candle floating on top. An ornate picture frame held the table numbers.
The cake table was decked out with purple and clear crystals and antique keys surrounding three separate wedding cakes. The largest was a square cake with white frosting and a diamond ribbon wrapping it. Purple roses lay on top. The second cake was purple with white decorative frosting and fresh flowers, while the third and smallest cake was round with purple frosting, white ribbon and fresh roses.
The couple’s first dance was to All of Me by John Legend. Rod Stewart’s Have I Told You Lately played for the father/daughter dance. Then Ryan danced with both grandmothers. For the first dance they chose Only You by the Platters and for the second dance, they chose Danny Boy.
Guests were encouraged to leave messages in a bottle for the couple to open in future years as well as imprint their thumbprints on a tree.
Congratulations Jacy and Ryan. May the attraction that first brought you together continue to bloom in your garden of love. We wish you the best.
