Jamie & Rich ~ March 3, 2013

Springtime is the season for love. Jamie and Rich embodied that when they were married at Villa Siena March 3, 2013. The couple met at work in Las Vegas. Jamie looked gorgeous in a strapless wedding gown with ruffles throughout that formed into a flower on the bodice of the dress. She wore her hair up. Her mother was by her side to help with the finishing touches. Jamie carried a bouquet of red and coral roses mixed with pale green hydrangeas, spider mums and green berries.

The ceremony began when the bridesmaids walked down the aisle in rust red dresses each in a different style, but all eyes went to Jamie as she made her grand entrance. Rich waited for his bride in a grey tuxedo with grey tie with his groomsmen next to him in grey tuxedos with grey vests and pink ties. The couple’s uncle was the officiant and the bride’s sister read a poem during the ceremony. During the recessional guests blew bubbles.

Both the ceremony and reception were held outside in the Piazza Toscana, to take advantage of the warm spring evening. The outdoor fireplace was lit while candles glowed on top and lanterns were hung in the courtyard. The dinner was buffet style followed by an assortment of mini cakes that included both chocolate and vanilla. The cakes were arranged in layers with a traditional cake on top with a band around it and fresh flowers. A sign reading ‘LOVE’ adorned the top.

The reception table had framed pictures of the couple surrounded by votive candles. Guests were invited to leave a note or advice in a photo album that featured pictures of the bride and groom.

The couple’s first dance was I Won’t Give Up by Jason Mraz followed by the father/daughter dance to Marina McBride In My Daughter’s Eyes. The mother/son dance was to Come Away With Me.

There was a photo booth for guests and the couple had an app called Wedshots where guests could download and upload all the pictures they took at the wedding. During the reception, the groom’s father thanked everyone for coming. While toasting the couple’s well-being, the maid of honor, Jamie’s sorority sister, said ‘may you look back on this day and realize this is the day you loved each other the least.’

Favors for the guests were caramelized popcorn and water bottles that said Thank You with a picture of the couple and the date of their wedding.

The couple enjoyed a traditional Villa Siena sparkler farewell as the night ended, leading them into their new life together. Congratulations Jamie & Rich. May your life together be filled with joy.
