Jennifer and Bob were set up by mutual friends from Ireland who claimed they knew the bride and groom would marry from their first meeting. Bob proposed to Jennifer in Italy and the two were married November 12, 2015 at Villa Siena.
The bride wore a gown from Lillian Lottie with a mermaid style silhouette that featured a beaded bodice and ruffled skirt with ruffled train. The look was finished with a long cascading veil and the bride’s hair in an up-do with fresh flowers. Her bouquet brought together deep red wine and peach ranunculus, spray roses and moss. The bridesmaid’s dresses were burgundy floor-length gowns with V-necks. Bob wore a black tuxedo with black vest, white shirt and purple striped tie. His groomsmen wore black tuxedos with purple vests and purple striped ties.
A string quartet played for the processional and recession. As the ceremony began, the ring bearer carried a sign saying Here Come the Bride down the white runner lined with peach and gold rose petals. During the speeches the story of the couple’s engagement was recounted.
For dessert a three-tier white wedding cake was decorated with piping and purple butterflies. The middle tier was designed to look as if it were wrapped in birch bark and had J+B with an arrow through it. The topper was a bird’s nest with two ‘love birds.’
During the speeches the maid of honor offered best wishes to the bride and groom. The best man was the groom’s older brother and told stories of their childhood. He also read a letter from a friend who lives in Ireland and couldn’t make it to the wedding.
The couple chose I Don’t Dance by Lee Brice for their first dance. This first dance was followed by the parent dances to My Wish by Rascal Flatts. Afterwards there was plenty of country music for all to dance to. Place cards for tables were in pinecones and floral arrangements were set in pine bark vases. On the couple’s table was a sign saying Mr. & Mrs. est. 2015.
Congratulations Jennifer and Bob. May every day of your lives together be a celebration of love. We wish you the best.
