Jenny and Martin were married on Thursday, October 13, 2016.
Jenny modeled a Queen Anne-style wedding gown with a bunched A-line skirt over a long tulle train. Her wavy red hair was pinned up under a fingertip length veil. She held a posy-tied bouquet of bright red, orange, and yellow roses, dahlias, and protea. Her five bridesmaids held smaller bouquets of the same, and wore shades of gold, pink, and cream dresses in varying styles. The Flower Girl donned a sleeveless, navy tea-length dress with a sparkling headband and white sandals.
Martin sported his formal Navy uniform, as did his Best Man. His other groomsmen wore black suits with gold bowties and orange flowers on their lapels.
The aisle was a red carpet strewn with red, orange, and yellow flower petals. The outdoor ceremony started with a prayer, followed by the couple reciting their own vows. A wine ceremony was performed, which was put in a box and won’t be opened till their five-year anniversary. The ceremony was also closed with a prayer.
Dinner consisted of salmon or beef tenderloin with green beans and ravioli. A pumpkin-flavored, six-tiered wedding cake came in alternating navy and gold-rhinestone layers. A cake topper read, “All of Me Loves All of You. “
During toasts, the Best Man said he had known the groom for nine years and when they first met, they weren’t fans of each other, but they ended up being deployed into the Navy together, and became friends. He wished the new couple all the best.
Jenny and Martin’s First Dance was to “Heaven” by Matt Bomer. The Father/Daughter Dance was to “Annie’s Song” by John Denver, and the Mother/Son Dance was to “What a Wonderful World” by Louis Armstrong.
The reception also had several tables for kids covered in toys and coloring packets. There was also a photo booth with a green screen.
We wish all the happiness in the world to the newlyweds.
