Guests arrived at Villa Siena to celebrate the marriage of Jill and Vinny February 13, 2015. Inside, at the welcome table was a bottle of wine and a guest sign-in book. The ceremony began with the flower boy passing out red roses to women guests as he made his way down the aisle.
The celebration included a reading from Ecclesiastes 4:9-12 that spoke of the significance of two being better than one, as well as a wine ceremony where the couple enclosed letters to one another and a bottle of wine in a box to be opened at a future date.
As part of the speeches, Jill’s sister-in-law spoke of how she met Jill seven years ago when Jill and Vinny started seeing each other. Jill became the sister she never had, but thankfully now has.
For the ceremony, Jill wore a Christina Wu gown from Susanne’s Bridal Boutique. The dress featured beaded embroidery on the bodice and hem of the gown with a beaded belt and full skirt that laced up the back corset-style. A diamond tiara was worn instead of a veil. The bridal bouquet showcased red-tipped roses and white calla lilies and was tied with silk ribbon and a ruby brooch. Jill’s bridesmaids wore red strapless gowns and carried white calla lily bouquets. To wed his love, Vinny was dressed in a black tuxedo, white shirt and vest with an ivory paisley tie. The groomsmen wore black tuxedos with black vests, red ties and red handkerchiefs.
Table numbers were attached to wine bottles on the tables. After dinner a five-tier square wedding cake, which was embellished with fondant flowers, crystal ribbon and crystals and pearls cascading down the side of the cake, was served to guests.
Congratulations Jill and Vinny. May your days be sweeter than honey. We wish you the best.
