Josue and Cody: A Tale as Old as Time
They say that true love feels like a fairy tale. So it’s no surprise that when Josue and Cody found one another, they wanted to celebrate their love with an homage to a classic love story: Beauty and the Beast!
The couple’s July wedding was a beautiful affair decorated in red roses, with blue and gold accents for a truly royal feel. The grooms wore matching suits in light gray with navy blue bow ties, their bridesmaids wore long, champagne-colored gowns, and their groomsmen wore navy suits with gold vests and ties.
Cody’s sister officiated the ceremony, adding an extra layer of sentimentality to this beautiful day. Josue and Cody said their vows to each other, and they also placed their vows and some cherished mementos into a box as part of a “unity ceremony.” By the time our grooms sealed their union with a kiss, there were many guests wiping their eyes and smiling broadly.
The reception was inside, where our tables were decorated with bells and bubbles as party favors. The newlyweds shared a dance to “It’s Been a Long, Long Time,” before dancing with their mothers. Cody and his mom danced to “Eagle when She Flies,” and Josue and his mother danced to “Los Caminos de la Vida.” Guests enjoyed a reception meal of creamy mushroom asparagus, creamy pesto chicken, chicken Limone, focaccia bread, and a Napa valley salad. And of course, no wedding is complete without a cake — in Josue and Cody’s case, a cake topped with a glass bell with a red rose inside.
We loved seeing the joy and delight on everyone’s faces as they celebrated Josue and Cody’s wedding, and we know that these two will enjoy many happy years together!
