Joya and Scott, who met at work, were married on July 27, 2019.
Joya looked beautiful in off-the-shoulder white trumpet gown with a button-down back. She accessorized with an elaborate cathedral-length veil. She changed into a fit-and-flare trumpet gown for the reception, with spaghetti straps, a sweetheart neckline, and a ruffled bottom.
Her bouquet was composed of white and pale pink flowers accented with eucalyptus and other greenery. Her six bridesmaids wore coordinating full-length peachy pink dresses and carried smaller versions of the bride’s bouquet.
Scott wore a classic black tuxedo with a white shirt, black bow tie, white pocket square, and white flower boutonniere. His groomsmen wore black suits with white shirts, black ties, and white pocket squares.
After an off-site ceremony, guests enjoyed a meal of classic Caesar salad, creamy mashed potatoes, seasonal steamed vegetables, grilled Atlantic salmon, and flatiron steak.
During the speeches, the maid of honor, the bride’s cousin, called the bride the sister she never had, said Joya would be amazing wife, and gave Scott advice. Joya’s brother spoke about how much he loves the newlyweds. The best man wished the happy couple the best. Scott’s mother said she knew Scott would marry Joya the first time she saw her.
Scott and Joya’s first dance was to “Perfect” by Ed Sheeran. Joya and her father danced to “De Nina A Mujer” by Julio Iglesias. Scott and his mother danced to “My Wish” by Rascal Flatts.
The three-tier white wedding cake had flowers on top and in between the first and second layers.
Scott and Joya left their wedding under the signature sparkler send-off.
We wish the newlyweds all the love and happiness in the world!
