A college microbiology class was where they found each other, and on June 13, 2021, Hairold and Kathryn became man and wife.
Kathryn looked lovely in a sophisticated A-line gown with cap sleeves a plunging neckline and back, lace bodice, and full satin skirt with a train. Her accessories included a pearl necklace and a hip-length veil trimmed in lace. Her bouquet was crafted from red and white flowers and botanical accents. Her maid of honor wore a sleeveless, full-length dark red dress with a sweetheart neckline. She carried a modified version of the bride’s bouquet.
Hairold wore a dark blue suit with a white shirt and dark red tie. His best man wore a dark blue suit with a white shirt and a dark red bow tie.
In the indoor ceremony, the couple read personal vows to each other. They also lit a unity candle to signify the joining of their lives.
Next, guests signed wooden hearts as part of a keepsake for the newlyweds, then sat down to a paella buffet.
The couple’s first dance together was to “The Dance” by Garth Brooks. Kathryn and her father danced to “Stand by Me” by Ben E. King. Hairold and his mother danced to “Wonder of You” by Elvis Presley. Other wedding fun included flamenco dancers as part of the entertainment.
The round wedding cake was done in light brown frosting with dark brown accents and topped with fresh flowers and a “Mrs. & Mrs.” ornament.
Congratulations to this wonderful couple!
