KD and Robbie were married on Sunday, April 24, 2016.
KD donned a modified A-line, jewel encrusted wedding gown with a semi sweetheart neckline. She also modeled a matching earring and necklace set, and clutched a bouquet of yellow roses and soft blue hydrangeas. She stood on navy, peep-toe heels adorned in jewels, matching her eight bridesmaids’ navy sheath gowns, which were covered in silver sequin with short sleeves and high necklines. KD’s daughter was the flower girl.
Robbie sported a navy blue, three-piece suit with a navy bowtie, white shirt and pocket square, and yellow rose accenting his lapel. His groomsmen matched him except for navy neckties.
The indoor wedding ceremony was held at the end of a blue petal strewn white carpet, and included a sand ceremony. There was a reading of 1 Corinthians 13:4-8 (Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud…), and the poem “I Carry Your Heart” by E.E. Cummings.
During the reception, an outdoor dinner consisted of Caprese salad, grilled Atlantic salmon with hollandaise and lemon dill beurre blanc, and beef tenderloin. Dessert included fresh fruit, and a piece of wedding cake. The four-tiered cake had alternating navy and white detailed layers, complete with a gold fleur-de-lis and a “Kiss the Girl” cake topper from The Little Mermaid.
KD and Robbie’s first dance was to Ben Folds’ “The Luckiest.” KD and Robbie also did a dance with the flower girl to Ed Sheeran’s “Thinking Out Loud.” The Father/Daughter Dance was to “The Way You Look Tonight,” and “To Love You More” by Celine Dion, and the Mother/Son Dance was to “Over The Rainbow” by IZ.
Guests were treated to little favor bags of Lemonheads and M&M’s. We wish the all best to this little family!
