Kelly and Daniel, who met in graduate school, were wed on December 28, 2022.
Kelly looked absolutely beautiful in a sleeveless sheath dress with a deep V neckline and a lace overlay. Her accessories included drop earrings and a full-length veil. Her bouquet was composed of an assortment of flowers in shades of pink and white with heavy greenery accents.
Daniel got married in a dark blue suit with a dark blue vest, white shirt, light blue tie, light blue patterned pocket square, and white rose boutonniere.
A friend of the couple officiated the outdoor ceremony, during which the bride and groom read personal vows to each other.
Afterward, during the outdoor reception, attendees dined on caprese salad; filet mignon with Burgundy bordelaise sauce and mushroom duxelles; grilled mahi mahi with a honey citrus glaze; creamy mashed potatoes; and assorted grilled vegetables. The signature cocktails were a Manhattan for the groom and a basil lemon gin fizz for the bride.
During the toasts, the bride’s parents spoke about the couple’s chemistry. The groom’s parents talked about how the newlyweds are “the one” for each other. The bride’s sister spoke about her friendship with Kelly, and another friend expressed their well wishes. Kelly and Daniel thanked their guests for coming.
The couple’s first dance was to “Together” by Kyle May. Kelly and her father danced to “Isn’t She Lovely” by Stevie Wonder. Daniel and his mother danced to “What a Wonderful World” by Louis Armstrong.
The three-tier wedding cake was done in a marble fondant design with gold trim at the bottom of each layer. The couple’s first initials were on the middle tier.
Daniel and Kelly left their special day under the signature sparkler exit.
