Kelsey & Benjamin ~ September 8, 2017

They met in middle school, and on September 8, 2017, Benjamin and Kelsey became man and wife.

Kelsey selected a gorgeous fit-and-flare strapless mermaid gown with a deep sweetheart neckline, embellished bodice, back button detail, and full ruffled skirt. She accessorized with drop earrings, a jeweled bracelet, white satin heels, and the full-length veil her sister got married in (her “something borrowed”). Her bouquet was composed of assorted white flowers accented with greenery tied with a white ribbon. Her maid of honor wore a full-length flowing black dress with a halter neckline. Her six other bridesmaids wore full-length flowing black dresses with plunging V-necklines. They carried smaller versions of the bride’s bouquet.

Benjamin wore a classic black tuxedo with black bow tie, white flower boutonniere, and white pocket square. His seven groomsmen dressed to match him.

During the ceremony, Kelsey’s aunt sang “Amazing Grace” and her father read verses from the Bible. The officiant read sweet things the couple had written about each other.

Inside at the reception, guests ate Caesar salad, creamy Parmesan risotto, assorted grilled vegetables, grilled Atlantic salmon with Hollandaise and lemon dill beurre blanc, and sliced beef tenderloin with cognac cream sauce and horseradish aioli. Attendees got to take individual boxes of doughnuts home, and there was a table of glowsticks as well.

During the speeches, the bride’s sister told the couple the importance of saying “Babe, you’re right” in their marriage.

After Benjamin and Kelsey shared a first dance as man and wife, Kelsey and her father danced to “I Loved Her First” by Heartland, and Benjamin and his mother danced to “You Are the Sunshine of My Life” by Stevie Wonder.

The four-tier wedding cake was done in all white with a large white flower adorning the front.

We wish Benjamin and Kelsey nothing but the best in their new marriage!
