Kimberly and Christopher have been together for over 10 years. They met in high school, and were married on Saturday, November 12, 2016.
Kimberly modeled a sweetheart cut wedding gown with a lace-textured bodice, trumpet hem, and a floor-length sheer veil. She wore bejeweled Nina Shoes heels, and held a posy-tied bouquet of white roses and hydrangeas. Her bridesmaids wore sleeveless sheath gowns in a dusty dark purple, and held small bouquets of purple, pink, and white roses.
Christopher donned a charcoal gray, three-piece suit with a light silver necktie, white pocket square, and a plush white rose on his lapel. His groomsmen wore dove gray suits with purple neckties and pocket squares, and white roses on their lapels to match.
During the outdoor wedding ceremony, the couple’s story was recapped for their guests. Christopher proposed exactly a year before. It was said their love stands for so much, and they have been on so many adventures together. There were readings about marriage, and they also recited their own vows.
During toasts, the Father of the Bride thanked everyone, and mentioned how the couple is carrying on the tradition of enjoying ale on their first anniversary. The Maid of Honor, Kimberly’s sister, says she is so happy to have her baby sister, and that Chris is a lot to handle. The Best Man said, “When I first met Chris, I was like ‘Wow, what an asshole.’” Obviously things have changed. Another of Kimberly’s sisters said their love story has been a great influence for all of them.
After a prayer, dinner included grilled chicken breasts filled with prosciutto and provolone cheese or braised beef short ribs, potatoes au gratin, and colorfully assorted grilled vegetables. The four-tiered vanilla cake came coated in white frosting made to look like flower petals and pearls, and it was topped with a variety of purple and pink-colored roses.
Kimberly and Christopher’s First Dance was to “From the Ground Up.” The Mother/Son Dance was to “A Song For Mama” by Boys II Men, and the Father/Daughter Dance was to “My Little Girl” by Tim McGraw.
Guests were also treated to heart-shaped wine stoppers that came in a box reading, “Love Starts With a Smile.”
Kimberly & Christopher left under the signature sparkler farewell, and we wish them all the best in this new chapter of their life.
