For their wedding, Krista and Dominick wrote love letters to each other that were read at their ceremony by the officiant. The couple’s wedding February 28, 2015 included friends and family, and of course, their dog, Lily, who took her job as ring bearer very seriously.
But before the wedding even began, Dominick surprised his bride with a gift of a new Coach purse. Krista, in turn, surprised her bridesmaids with Michael Kors wallets. Krista had no problems putting together a stunning ensemble for her wedding day by choosing a strapless gown with beaded detailing on the bodice and a ruffled skirt. Her bouquet was filled with subtle orange, blush and white orchids, calla lilies and roses in a hanging arrangement. Her hair was worn down with a veil and a radiant diamond necklace. After Six dresses were chosen for her bridesmaids in burnt orange with rouching across the top, an empire waist and a ruffle down the front with a hemline that ended at the knee. The bridesmaids carried bouquets similar to the bride’s. The groom wore a black tuxedo with a white shirt and black tie. Standing with him, Dominick’s groomsmen were dressed to match.
Arriving guests were invited to sign a leaf on a painted wood block with a tree with white leaves on it. A heart in the bark and two lovebirds kissing in the tree added a romantic touch. Burlap sacks were used as a common theme throughout the wedding from the seating chart, which was pinned to a board with a burlap covering to wine bottles wrapped in burlap with table numbers on them to miniature burlap sacks to put candy in. Centerpieces featured orange orchids set in rocks in vases filled with water. Red, orange and yellow could be found from the candy table to the orange tablecloths with gold runners and plates to the details on the wedding cake. The wedding cake was finished with quilted fondant and hand painted cartoon bride and groom wine corks, personalized by the bride. In front of the cake was a sign saying, “I Do.”
Speeches were filled with heartfelt wishes including the Maid of Honor’s, which included the toast, “To love, to laughter, to happily ever after.” The best man spoke of how from the first time he met Krista she fit right into the family and he knew she was special. Congratulations Krista & Dominick. May every day together be a celebration of love, laughter and compassion. We wish you the best.
