A Semi-Traditional Ceremony for Frank and Kristina
Kristina and Frank’s May wedding was the epitome of traditional, classic and beautiful. Honestly, we’re still thinking about the lovely white and maroon color palette, the calla lily florals, and the lovely ceremony to this day.
The couple chose maroon, black, and white for their decor and wardrobe. The bridesmaids wore long maroon dresses, the groomsmen wore black suits and maroon ties (Frank wore a white tie to stand out), and Kristina’s lacy, v-neck gown was absolutely stunning. The colors popped so beautifully against the golden and green tones in our Plaza Toscana!
But the traditional beauty of the event didn’t stop our lovebirds from having a little fun. The bridal party’s processional music was “Thunderstruck” by AC/DC, and the couple held onto the excitement and expectation of the first look until Kristina walked up the aisle. Their ceremony was also marked by tender moments, like when Kristina said a special set of vows and presented a gift to Frank’s daughter.
After the wedding ceremony, Frank and Kristina joined their guests in the reception hall for a dinner by Park Avenue Catering. Everyone enjoyed stuffed chicken, beef with mushrooms, mashed potatoes, and vegetables — plus that delicious red velvet cake at dessert time!
The newlyweds kicked off the dancing for the evening by dancing to Elvis Presley’s “Can’t Help Falling in Love.” Then, they each took a moment to dance with their parents; Kristina and her father danced to “Papa Quiero Decirte” by Lali Torres, and Frank and his mother danced to Celine Dion’s “Because You Loved Me.” Before long, everyone was on the dance floor, cutting a rug and living it up with their loved ones!
