Lachelle and Paul married April 12, 2015. As guests arrived at Villa Siena they were greeted with a chalk sign with a bride, groom and a heart between them and the words, Welcome to our love story. To start the processional two boys carried a sign announcing, Here comes the bride.
To marry her beloved, Lachelle wore a strapless cream-colored gown with sweetheart neckline and rouching to the hip. The skirt of the dress flowed out from the hips. The ensemble was accented with a diamond necklace and a David’s bridal custom belt with embellishments and buttons. Carrying a bouquet of calla lilies and roses, Lachelle glowed throughout the day. Her bridesmaids were dressed in formal black gowns with white trim. They carried bouquets of pink roses and berries. Paul chose a black tuxedo with white vest, shirt and black bow-tie. His groomsmen wore black tuxedos with satin piping, black vests, ties and white shirts.
For their first look, the couple concealed themselves with black and white balloons before releasing them into the air to reveal themselves to one another.
The couple consecrated their marriage with prayers, a reading from the book of Genesis and communion. On the altar stood a black wrought iron cross with goblets glowing with candles surrounding the cross. Each aisle of chairs was finished with bows of ivory, white and black with pearls tied around them.
During the reception the couple played the newlywed game using hearts indicating ‘bride’ or ‘groom.’ Loved ones were remembered with an In Loving Memory table. There was also an And they lived happily ever after table. During speeches the best man spoke of how happy he was that Paul found someone as great as the bride to share his life with.
The bride had a groom’s cake made from black sheet cake with the ASU logo. For the couple’s official wedding cake they chose a 3-tier white fondant cake with fondant ribbon and a quilted pattern. The cake was chocolate with vanilla strawberry.
Congratulations Lachelle and Paul. May you find in one another a best friend, a confidant and the truest love known to man. We wish you the best.
