November 18, 2012 was a bright sunny day for Laura and Christopher’s wedding. The couple met through mutual friends. Friendship and love blossomed out of that first meeting. Christopher knew how important Laura was to him and went out of his way to show her family how sincere his intentions were. Before he proposed, Christopher called up Laura’s parents and gave them a resume for the job of ‘Laura’s Husband.’ He was hired.
Although the couple lives in Seattle, they came down to Arizona because Arizona is where they are originally from.
Laura looked the part of a summer bride, despite the late season. She wore a strapless fitted gown with a slight flair at the bottom. The dress was predominantly made of lace and had a beautiful lace train. A subtle pink sash tied around the waist with floral detailing in front. The whole feel was soft and sweet. A half up-do complimented the veil the bride chose. Her bouquet was made up of white roses.
Laura and Christopher added only a few candles and a sprinkle of rose petals down the aisle, leaving the architecture of Villa Siena to serve as a backdrop for their wedding ceremony.
Christopher waited for his bride in a black tuxedo with a white shirt and black tie. His smile said all that needed to be said about the couple’s love. As the bride walked down the aisle, I Won’t Give Up by Jason Mraz played. The emotions of the day were felt as Laura teared up before her father gave her away. Laura’s sister gave a touching reading about love, then the officiant added his own personal touch with various quotes including one by Mark Twain.
After vows were exchanged, If it’s Love by Train played as the couple returned down the aisle joined in marriage, joined in friendship and joined in love.
Congratulations Laura and Christopher. We wish you the very best.
