Lauren and Michael arrived at Villa Siena May 25, 2013 for their wedding ceremony and reception. The couple originally met at ‘On the Border’ restaurant where they both worked.
As the ceremony started, the flower girls with floral wreaths around their heads tossed petals for the bride to walk on. In the fountain, gerbera daisies floated. Michael wore a black tuxedo with ivory tie and vest. A pink gerbera daisy served as a boutonniere.
For the big moment, Lauren chose a fitted dress with a slight flair at the bottom. In her hair she wore a beautiful silver and floral pin. A pearl necklace wrapped her neck and in her hands she carried a pink and white bouquet of roses and gerbera daisies. Her bridesmaids wore strapless turquoise dresses that came to the knee. Before Lauren’s father gave her away he gave her one last tight hug. Then Lauren and Michael lit the unity candle, joining their two lives.
During the ceremony Lauren’s grandmother and Michael’s uncle gave readings. A steel drum by the bride’s old percussion teacher played during the ceremony and was then joined by keyboard music for the reception.
For the reception the table centerpieces were three floating candles in varying sized vases with a gerbera daisy floating in water. A slideshow that was put together by the father of the bride played during the guest’s entertainment.
The couple’s first song was danced to Bon Jovi’s Thank You For Loving Me. Instead of cake a sundae bar was available. Then candy favors kept the sweet moments coming.
Congratulations Lauren and Michael. May you both continue to feel thankful for the love you share and may that love only grow throughout the coming years.
