Lauren and Robert initially met through a mutual friend. They married January 9, 2016. As guests arrived to celebrate the love of Lauren and Robert they were invited to sign the guest book and leave a thought for the couple. A wooden L & R decorated the table.
Lauren was a stunning bride in a fitted lace gown with a beaded belt. The gown had a slight A-line flair to the skirt and was finished with scalloped lace edging. Lauren’s hair was worn down with a slight curl. Her shoes were ivory satin with a crystal embellishment on top. The bridal bouquet brought in a bright splash of color with a variety of yellow, pink, orange, blue and purple flowers. The bridesmaids’ dresses from David’s Bridal were black full-length strapless gowns with a sweetheart neckline. The bridesmaids also had cheery bouquets of flowers.
Robert was dressed in a black tuxedo with a vest, white shirt and black bowtie.
A pink rose was pinned to his lapel. His groomsmen were also dressed in black tuxedos but wore black ties instead of bowties. By David’s side was his best man who met and became friends with Robert in the 5th grade. The officiant was from Christ’s Church of the Valley. When Lauren made her grand entrance with her two sons she was the center of everyone’s focus.
For the reception, the ballroom tables were set with black tablecloths and ivory napkins with bright floral arrangements. After dinner wedding cake was served. The vanilla cake was a four-tiered round cake with white detailed piping, strings of fondant pearls and white gumpaste flowers as a topper.
To mark their first dance as husband and wife, the couple chose Turning Page by Sleeping at Last followed by the mother & son dance to Stand By Me by Ben E King. Favors were mason jars filled with mint chocolate candies and tied with a ribbon and card that read The sweetest way to end the day!
Congratulations Lauren & Robert. May the love you share fill you hearts each and every day. We wish you the best.
