Lisa and Brandon, who met through mutual friends, were married on February 19, 2017.
Lisa wore a lovely lace Maggie Sottero gown featuring a mermaid silhouette with cap sleeves, a sweetheart neckline, and buttons down the back, topped off with a lace-edged veil. She carried a large bouquet that included white roses and peonies interspersed with eucalyptus and other botanical elements. Her four bridesmaids wore flowing full-length gowns in varying shades of pale green, and carried smaller version of the bride’s bouquet.
Brandon got married in a three-piece gray suit with gray shirt, white tie, and white floral boutonniere. His three groomsmen wore three-piece gray suits with gray shirts, pale green ties, and white floral boutonnieres.
The couple was married in a traditional ceremony that included an opening blessing delivered by a friend of Brandon’s. Lisa’s family sang a song, and a number of Romanian traditions were included.
At the reception, guests enjoyed a meal of Caesar salad followed by filet mignon with burgundy bordelaise and mushroom duxelle sauce and grilled chicken breast with a garlic herb glaze, and potatoes au gratin with Gruyere and mozzarella.
During the speeches, Lisa’s maid of honor told the story of Brandon and Lisa’s first date, and thanked the parents for putting on such a beautiful event. Brandon’s best man became emotional when he spoke about how after 20 years, he and the groom are more like brothers than friends.
When it was time to cut the cake, which was four tiers decorated with flowers and topped with a photo of the couple, guests had a choice between white cake with lemon raspberry or chocolate cake with chocolate ganache and raspberries.
Brandon and Lisa’s honeymoon took them on a roadtrip to Washington on the Pacific Coast Highway, and we wish them nothing but love and happiness on their new journey together!
