Heritage and Happiness Were on Show at This Special June Day
Madison and Nicholas were such an incredible example of how you can seamlessly integrate heritage and traditions — making the wedding that much more special in the process. It was a day of love, music, and more, and it all started with a beautiful ceremony inside the villa. Madison’s off-the-shoulder gown and lovely veil made her an absolutely blushing bride, and we loved that the sage greens were not only worn by the bridesmaids, but also gave a little pop of color for the groomsmen.
The ceremony was so special, not only because of the beautiful couple and the setting, but the officiant’s twist of having the couple share their first impressions of each other — and actually reading them out loud!
The reception really brought the traditions to life, with a traditional Ukrainian ceremony before dinner. It was lovely to see the guests join in Ukrainian song after the prayer, and how the couple included traditional music throughout the dancing. And the speeches really gave a sense of how special this couple is — with Madison and the maid of honor being friends for over 19 years. (The bride even asked her to be maid of honor when she was only 16!) We love to see that kind of friendship providing such a bedrock of support for the bride on her big day.
The celebration was such a perfect mix of the fun and the deeply romantic — from bobbleheads on the cake to table to the first dance to Elton John’s “Your Song”. The reception was dotted with photos of the happy couple, and it was clear that everyone there knew just how special their relationship is. We wish them all the best!
