Bob and Manieka became husband and wife on May 12, 2017.
Manieka looked gorgeous in a strapless fitted gown with all-over beaded embellishment and button detail down the back. She accessorized with drop earring, satin D’Orsay Badgley Mischka pumps, and a waist-length veil.
Bob sported a U.S. Army dress uniform, including blue pants, a navy blue jacket with gold detailing, and a black bow tie.
During the ceremony, the officiant said that Bob, Manieka, and God would comprise a cord of three strands, and that their marriage would be filled with patience and kindness. The couple’s dog was a part of the ceremony.
At the reception, guests dined on a mixed-greens salad with carrots, tomatoes, and vinaigrette dressing, green beans, creamy Parmesan risotto, sliced beef tenderloin with cognac cream sauce and horseradish aioli, and grilled chicken breast marinated in olive oil, garlic, and herbs served with a garlic herb glaze. The couple also offered their guests two signature cocktails: a margarita or a gin and tonic.
Manieka’s father offered his wishes that the newlyweds would be blessed. Manieka’s best friend praised her graciousness. Bob’s longtime friend said that he has great honor and respect for him, and that marrying Manieka is the best decision he’s ever made. The couple thanked the guests for coming from all over to share in their special day.
Bob and Manieka danced their first dance as a married couple to “Rather Be.” Manieka and her father danced to “Lovely Day” by Bill Withers, and Bob and his mother danced to “The River” by Garth Brooks.
The pink and white wedding cake was four tiers high. Each tier decorated with a different design, and the cake was accented with roses.
Manieka and Bob left their reception under the signature sparkler sendoff.
We the happy couple nothing but joy in the future!
