Fall weddings bring clear blue skies, sunny skies and lots of smiles. September 8, 2012, we had all three of those when Marissa and Chase joined us at Villa Siena for their wedding ceremony and reception. Guests were seated inside for the ceremony where the altar was adorned with white candles and high-low bouquets of white roses. The groomsmen and groom took their places, wearing traditional tuxedos. Anticipation built as the bridesmaids made their way down the white rose petal strewn aisle. Each bridesmaid wore a black knee-length dress in a slightly different style and carried a bouquet of white roses. When the big moment arrived, people couldn’t help but smile as Marissa made her way down the aisle in a strapless fitted gown with A-line skirt. She looked fresh and bright with a half up-do of her blonde hair, the rest hanging in ringlets.
Before the ceremony, the officiant asked the bride and groom to write down three words that described their partner. During the ceremony, he read the words to Marissa and Chase. Kisses were shared and the celebratory feel spread. While the wedding theme was primarily black and white, the bride chose shades of purple to personalize the reception. Tables were laid with royal purple tablecloths, while lavender napkins and lavender and white floral arrangements detailed the dining experience. A guest book consisting of pictures of the bride and groom was laid out for guests to enjoy. The couple made their way to the dance floor for a first dance to Eric Clapton’s Wonderful Tonight. Then Marissa and her father shared a moment as Never Alone by Lady Antebellum played. Chase and his mother took their turn on the dance floor to N’sync’s Music of My Heart. To add a little more sugar to the sweetness of the night a three-layered cake, with each layer a different flavor, was served. Monogrammed cupcakes were given as flavors with purple and white frosting. As the night wound down, the couple enjoyed a traditional Villa Siena sparkler farewell. Congratulations Marissa & Chase.
