Mary and Joe met at work. The couple wed September 27, 2015. As friends and family arrived for the wedding celebration they were asked to leave a fingerprint in paint on the couple’s fingerprint tree that they could frame.
For her wedding day, Mary wore a gown from David’s Bridal. The lace gown had cap sleeves and a sparkle of beading throughout. Mary added to the style with a birdcage veil and her hair was worn in an up-do. She carried a bouquet of pink and ivory roses with eucalyptus leaves. Her bridesmaids wore sage-green dresses from Allure Bridal that finished at the knee. The groom, Joe, wore a grey tuxedo with white vest, white shirt and ivory tie. His groomsmen were also in grey tuxedos but wore black ties. The best man was the son-in-law of the groom.
The couple was all smiles all day. Their wedding ceremony included a wine box ceremony. After the ceremony, guests found their way to their tables by locating their name in frames made from wine corks. On each setting was a wedding Mad Libs. Table numbers were tied to wine bottles with a rose in each one. Centerpieces also included roses floating in vases with votive candles on top.
Dancing began with the couple’s first dance to At Last by Etta James followed by the Father & Daughter dance to What a Wonderful World and the Mother & Son dance to Spanish Eyes.
For dessert there were two cakes, one for the groom and the traditional wedding cake. The groom’s cake was in the shape of a Cleveland Brown’s jersey with bobble heads and pennants decorating the edge of the cake. The traditional wedding cake showcased three tiers decorated in fondant lace with fondant roses and flowers on top. The cake topper was the silhouette of a groom lifting his bride and kissing her.
Mary’s friend spoke during speeches about them both being stay at home moms and how Joe treats her like a princess. Favors were coasters and boxes of candy. Outside the couple enjoyed a blood red moonrise.
Congratulations Mary and Joe. May the love you found together guide you through a life of joy. We wish you the best.
