Emerald green and black were the color scheme for the wedding of Maryem and Richi at Villa Siena April 26, 2015.
To marry her love, Maryem wore a lace dress with sheer lace neckline and a plunging sheer V in back. The dress finished in a slight flair from the hips. Her bouquet was filled with white roses and baby’s breath. At the bride’s side were her bridesmaids in emerald green satin dresses with ruffled fronts. Richi was dressed in a black tuxedo with a white shirt and black bowtie while his groomsmen were dressed in black tuxedos with emerald green ties and black vests.
As part of the ceremony the couple poured green and black sand into a glass frame to intertwine their two lives as one. They also explained what the letters LOVE stood for with the L for laughter, the O for openness, the V for validation and the E for encouragement.
At the reception, tables were decorated with budding trees embellished with strands of crystals. Each table also had a silhouetted image of a prince and princess. Entertainment included a belly dancer.
The wedding cake was decorated to reflect both the bride and groom with one half of the cake done in a tuxedo design with the middle layer revealing a Batman sign under the groom’s shirt. The other half was decidedly more feminine with pearl, quilt and a rose design. Underneath the frosting was a vanilla and chocolate marble cake. On top of the cake was a delicate wire bride and groom topper with Mr. & Mrs. in hearts and the couple’s last name.
Congratulations Maryem and Richi. May the sun always shine upon you and the winds carry your joy into the world. We wish you the best.
