Megan & Blake ~ August 1, 2015

Blake+Megan061

Friends from high school, Megan and Blake married August 1, 2015. A family friend, who served as the officiant, married the couple. The ceremony incorporated bible verses and a glass pouring ceremony. The glass pouring ceremony was a unique touch personalized by placing glass pieces in champagne flutes, one from each family that would later be made into a blown glass vase.

To marry her love, Megan wore a strapless lace gown with sweetheart neckline and A-line skirt from David’s Bridal with crystal detailing at the waist. She wore her hair swept to the side with a lace edged veil. The bridal bouquet combined petit pink roses and white roses. Her bridesmaids glittered in pink-gold sequined dresses while Blake looked dapper in a traditional black tuxedo with a black bowtie and white shirt. The groomsmen also wore tuxedos with bowties.

The guest welcome table was filled with framed quotes and a guest book with pictures of the couple in it. The ceremony was held indoors with candles and rose petals lining the aisle.

Highlights of the night included the father of the bride singing a song as well as the couple’s first dance to You Are The Best Thing. The father & daughter song to You Are My Sunshine was touching, as was the mother & son dance to Memories. During the dinner the couple sat at a sweetheart table with a gold sequined tablecloth and a sign reading My Only Sunshine.

A prop table was set up for everyone to take pictures in a photo booth. Guests were encouraged to get out and dance with a sign that read, “You can find your seat here, but your place is on the dance floor!”

A wedding cake stood three tiers high with ribbons of black accenting the cake and a gold fondant middle tier. A cursive LOVE cake topper finished the cake. For a late night snake, a snow cone truck arrived.
