Almost nine years after they met at work, Melissa and Chris were married on January 22, 2017.
Melissa looked elegant in an ivory-colored Mori Lee trumpet gown with a ruffled skirt, ruched bodice, sweetheart neckline and lace-up back. She accessorized with sparkly silver open-toed heels and pearl and crystal jewelry, and carried a bouquet of white roses tied with a navy blue ribbon. Her four bridesmaids wore navy blue lace gown with keyhole backs. They carried white roses tied with white ribbons.
Chris looked sharp in a navy blue three-piece suit with a black tie and white flower boutonniere. His four groomsmen wore black three-piece suits with blue vests and ties, and white flower boutonnieres.
White roses and white candles in jars lined the aisle as Melissa walked to meet Chris. During the ceremony, the officiant reminded the couple that the moments in life when you truly love are the ones in which you truly live.
Inside at the reception, guests were invited to write a message for Melissa and Chris on a Jenga game piece before sitting down to a meal of Caesar salad followed by chipotle-glazed grilled chicken breast topped with pineapple, peach, and mango salsa; filet mignon with Burgundy bordelaise and mushroom duxelle sauce; Yukon gold potatoes; and ginger glazed carrots.
During the speeches, the maid of honor, Melissa’s older sister, joked about how Melissa always gets what she wants. Chris’s brother, his best man, told a story about the time he accidentally set Chris’s car on fire.
The newlyweds danced their first dance as married couple to “All of Me” by John Legend.
The white wedding cake was composed of three tiers with a ruffled base and white and silver flower accents.
Chris and Melissa headed into the night under the signature sparkler send-off.
We wish Melissa and Chris the very best in their new life together!
