When Melissa and JR first met, JR immediately fell in love with the bride’s outgoing personality and talkative nature. The bride fell for the groom’s winning smile. The couple was married November 14, 2015 at Villa Siena.
As guests arrived for the ceremony they were invited to sign wooden hearts so they could ‘collect love’ in lieu of a guest book. The altar for the ceremony was decorated with a pressed grass M & J with purple accent flowers. There were also purple flowers on alternating aisle chairs, which were tied with purple ribbon.
Melissa was a radiant bride in a strapless gown with ruching across the bodice, a beaded belt and pickups in her skirt that flowed into a train. Under the dress was a pair of ivory flats with crystal detailing across the top. Attached to the bride’s bouquet of white hydrangeas, succulents and purple and ivory roses, was a charm the bride carried for her late father. Her bridesmaids wore alternating shades of lavender and lilac gowns. The flower girl’s gowns were made by the bride’s grandmother with crocheted bodices and tulle skirts. JR wore a grey tuxedo with purple vest and striped tie with a pink rose in his lapel. His groomsmen wore the same as the groom.
For the ceremony, guests were invited to find a seat not a side, as they would all be family when the ceremony ended. When all were settled, Melissa’s mother walked her down the aisle. The officiant was the bride’s brother in law. As part of the wedding, the couple performed a sand ceremony with purple and ivory sands. The glass container for the sand was decorated with a crystal ‘A’.
The day was as beautiful as the couple that was married. Congratulations Melissa and JR. May your lives be filled with beauty and kindness. We wish you the best.
