April 4, 2014 Mika and Andrew arrived at Villa Siena filled with smiles on their wedding day. The two had a morning ceremony. The exchange of vows was followed by a brunch for guests.
To celebrate the first day of her life as Mrs., Mika wore a strapless gown with rouching across the front, flowing into an A-line skirt. The bride wore her hair down with a veil. A diamond necklace finished the look. Underneath her gown, Mika chose turquoise heels with straps. The bridal bouquet was filled with lavender roses.
Her bridesmaids and maid of honor brought a bright spring-like feel to the day. The bridesmaids wore lavender dresses with short sleeves while the maid of honor chose a turquoise lace dress. Matching the bridesmaids, the groom wore a black tuxedo with a paisley purple vest and bowtie while his groomsmen wore a matching ensemble, except for a tie instead of bow-tie.
After the ceremony, guests were ushered inside for the reception. Tables were decorated festively with turquoise and purple gerbera daisies. Plaques on the table were embossed with Corinthians 13. An ‘I Spy’ game was set out on each table for their guests’ entertainment.
To celebrate the wedding of these two beautiful people, the bride’s niece sang When You Say Nothing At All. The couple’s first dance was to Christina Perry’s A Thousand Years Part II.
Brunch consisted of an omelet bar, eggs, pancakes, potatoes and ham. A three-tiered cake was decorated in curlicues with turquoise fondant bows wrapping each layer. A silver D sat on top. The middle layer sparkled with a diamond brooch.
Guests were sent home with favors of jars of jam and bubbles.
Congratulations Mika and Andrew. May you find courage, strength and love in one another. We wish you the best.
