Monica and Ismael were introduced in high school by one of the bride’s friends. The couple married August 21, 2015. Monica wore a Maggie Sottero strapless gown with rouching, a diamond belt and a tulle skirt. As an accessory, she wore a pearl and diamond bracelet to add a little sparkle. The bridal bouquet was filled with dusty mauve and white roses. Her bridesmaids wore varying shades of purple gowns with a single shoulder strap. Ismael chose a grey tuxedo with white shirt and a lavender tie to marry his love. On the bottom of his white sneakers were the words Me Too in response to the bride’s I Do.
The couple symbolically brought their lives together with a unity cross where one cross is placed inside another. As part of the ceremony, the couple was advised to remember to laugh, have fun, respect each other and learn to forgive. The couple also celebrated with a ring ceremony and included their daughter in their circle of love.
At the reception, the couple’s signature drink, the Amor-tini was served. Guests were invited to leave a fingerprint in purple on a fingerprint tree.
To start the dancing off, the married couple chose Thinking Out Loud by Ed Sheeren for their first dance, which was followed by the father & daughter dance to Isn’t She Lovely and the mother & son dance to My Wish.
The wedding cake was a four-tiered round cake with white fondant and lace buttercream piping with flowers placed at each tier.
Before the meal was served a friend of the bride and groom offered a prayer before the maid of honor told friends and family that Monica was beautiful from the inside out. During speeches, the best man, who has known Ismael since he was 13, told the group Marriage is finding the person you can’t live without.
A photo booth was set up for everyone to enjoy. Favors were birdcages filled with popcorn. At the end of the night a white limousine carried the couple off to their new life together as husband and wife. Congratulations Monica & Ismael. May your days together be filled with peace and happiness.
