Nataly & Sam ~ March 26, 2017

Nataly and Sam were married March 26, 2017.

Nataly selected an elegant strapless fit-and-flare gown with a ruched bodice, beaded belt, and a lace illusion panel that added a boat neckline and elbow-length sleeves. She accessorized with white heels trimmed with lace, pearl necklace, drop earrings, and a lace-edged veil. She carried a bouquet of roses and other blooms tied with a dark blue ribbon. Her seven bridesmaids wore full-length, light blue dresses in a variety of silhouettes and carried modified versions of the bride’s bouquet.

Sam dressed to impress in a gray suit with black lapels with a black bow tie and white rose boutonniere. Each of his six groomsmen wore a subtly different black suit, and each wore a silver tie and a white rose boutonniere. All the gentlemen, including Sam, wore music note socks and guitar lapel pins to symbolize Sam’s love of music.

The couple had a traditional Jewish wedding ceremony, including a blessing over wine, and the breaking of the glass. A poem by Maya Angelou was read.

At the reception, guests enjoyed a meal of mixed greens with goat cheese, creamy mashed potatoes, grilled vegetables, grilled Atlantic salmon and beef Wellington. Sam and Nataly treated their guests to complimentary watercolor portraits by a guest artist.

During the speeches, the best man joked about Sam’s habit of asking a lot of questions, and the maids of honor talked about how they and Nataly were medical residents together. Sam thanked everyone for coming from around the city, country, and world to attend the wedding.

Nataly and Sam danced their first dance together to “Lucky” by Jason Mraz and Colbie Caillat.

The wedding cake featured a silver beaded border around the base of each of its three tiers, along with other silver decoration and blue flowers. The custom cake topper was two lifelike figurines of Sam and Nataly — her with a pair of ice skates on her shoulder, and him with a guitar singing to her.

We wish the happy couple a long marriage filled with joy and love!
