Nicole and Aram met seven years ago on New Years Eve. To celebrate their seven year anniversary they flew to Hawaii for a vacation. They married October 4, 2015. For the ceremony, the bride wore a gown from Watters Bridal. The strapless gown had a sash at the waist detailed with cloth flowers in back. The dress finished in an A-line tulle skirt. Simple diamond earrings and a diamond bracelet accented the ensemble, as did the bride’s bouquet of white roses with crystals in the center of each. Her bridesmaids wore plum colored gowns with different necklines. Aram chose a black tuxedo with a black vest, white shirt and black bowtie for his wedding ceremony. In his lapel was a white calla lily. His groomsmen wore light grey tuxedos with plum colored ties.
The bride’s cousin and officiant has know the bride since a young age and he provided pre-marital counseling to the couple. The ceremony began with seven flower girls, all dressed sweetly, tossing flower petals down the aisle. During the ceremony the officiant explained the three ‘G’ words: glory, growth and gracious. Nicole and Aram then faced each other to exchange the vows they each wrote.
Their traditional ceremony was followed by a Korean ceremony. This ceremony was held exclusively for the groom’s family, who had flown over from Korea, to meet the bride. Traditionally this ceremony is held a few days after the traditional ceremony. The bride gave a present to her groom and both the bride and groom were dressed in bright robes, the groom in a plum robe and the bride in a crimson robe. The ceremony was held mainly in Korean.
The maid of honor broke down during speeches saying Nicole was more than a best friend to her she was kind hearted. She also talked about the bride and groom’s relationship. A video of the couple was played and the best man gave Aram photographs of them growing up together.
The reception was filled with a lot of dancing including the couple’s first dance to I Do (Cherish You) by 98 Degrees. What a wonderful World played for both the Father & Daughter dance and the Mother & Son dance. A garter toss and bouquet toss determined the next two in the group to be married. Favors were white and maroon colored macaroons with a card saying ‘thanks for making our day sweeter.’ The wedding cake was a four-tier round red velvet cake with sweet cream cheese frosting and flower detail.
Congratulations Nicole & Aram. May each day together begin and end with love. We wish you the best.
