Paulette & John ~ September 22, 2013

Paulette and John celebrated their wedding and reception at Villa Siena with a vintage theme. The couple has lived together for a long time. They have a son together and now finally decided to tie the knot. Their son, Alex, was included in the ceremony as the ring bearer. A close friend of John’s was the officiant for the ceremony.

Paulette looked picture perfect with her hair worn down in loose curls. Instead of a traditional gown she chose a vintage dress with spaghetti straps, empire waist and A-line skirt that was finished in trim just above the knee. A bow tied in back of the dress. She wore sparkly strappy shoes. The bride’s bouquet mixed peach and white roses and hydrangeas. John wore a black suit with black shoes and a patterned tie.

This couple is proof that time doesn’t take the spark out of love. The couple’s personality came out throughout the wedding from the wedding truck that made pizzas in the parking lot to the wedded couple’s first dance to Let’s Get It On. All the guests were invited to join the couple for their first dance.

Centerpieces were books stacked on top of one another, reflecting Paulette’s love of teaching, with a jar of flowers edged in lace on top. At each seat was a mason jar with a chalkboard for guests to write their names on or draw a picture. Mad Libs helped break the ice at each table for guests who might not know each other. The kids’ table had stickers at each table setting and crayons to help the kids stay entertained during the meal.

Because Paulette is a big runner, she included pumpkin seeds and pistachios to the candy bar, since they are her favorite snack. Vegan cupcakes were also available.

Congratulations Paulette and John. May your friendship and love continue to grow with each passing day. We wish you the best.
