Villa Siena welcomed Rachel and Ryan August 22, 2014 to celebrate their wedding day. Rachel was radiant in a dress that had roucing throughout the gown, giving the dress a sense of movement and flow. Short sleeves and a train lent the dress a more traditional feel, while a crystal belt and diamond necklace shimmered in the light. Sequins in the bride’s veil also sparkled. The bride’s hair was worn in a partial up-do with soft curls hanging down. A bouquet of white roses and calla lilies was carried for the ceremony. For the something blue in ‘something old, something new, something borrowed and something blue,’ some of the bridesmaids painted their nails turquoise. Each bridesmaid was given a turquoise ‘bling’ ring and diamond bracelets. For the celebration, the bridesmaids wore grey dresses with short sleeves and turquoise heels and carried bouquets similar to the bride’s. Ryan wore a grey tuxedo with turquoise vest and tie as did his groomsmen.
The color scheme of turquoise brightened the day and was also used in up-lighting at the reception. The couple had a traditional first dance followed by a choreographed dance between father and daughter.
Ryan didn’t disappoint the single men at the reception when he tossed out his bride’s garter marking the next man to get married. Large puzzle pieces were available for guests to write their names and leave some advice for the newlyweds.
All in all the day was as sunny outside as it was in the atmosphere the bride and groom emitted. Congratulations Rachel and Ryan. May your wedding day be only the first of many magical days in the years to come. We wish you the best.
