Raquela and Luis were married on Saturday, April 16, 2016.
Raquela modeled a David’s Bridal wedding gown with a semi-sweetheart neckline and a ballgown skirt – complete with a silver beaded belt and bedazzled fuchsia heels. Her Maid of Honor wore a lacey, gray tea-length dress, and her other bridesmaids wore gray sheath gowns with semi-sweetheart necklines. Each member of the bridal party held a bouquet of pink and coral flowers.
Luis wore a black three-piece suit, complete with a white dress shirt and necktie – his lapel accented with a pink rose. His four groomsmen also sported three-piece suits, finished with blue vests and neckties – plus their own pink roses pinning their lapels.
The outdoor ceremony was held at the end of a pink carpet, and featured a petal-laden fountain. The three ring bearers were Raquela and Luis’ sons. Pastor Mark Fual performed the hand ceremony.
Dinner was served outside, and included Caesar salad and a pasta bar. The three-tiered white wedding cake came adorned in rhinestones and pink roses, complete with a monogrammed “RGL” on the middle tier. The reception also featured a candy table wish dishes of pink Pop Rocks, jellybeans, and other candies, plus Hershey Kisses.
During the reception, the Best Man gave a toast, and talked about when he first met the bride. The Maid of Honor Maureen expressed how happy she is for the couple. Guests were gifted personalized koozies from the couple.
Raquela and Luis’ First Dance was to “I Cross My Heart” by George Straight. The Father/Daughter Dance was to “Butterfly Kisses” by Bob Carlisle, and the Mother/Son Dance was to Vicente Fernández’s “Hermoso Cariño.”
Best wishes to the new couple, Raquela and Luis!
