Rosana & Erik ~ August 11, 2017

Rosana and Erik, who met on the Arizona State University racquetball team, were married on August 11, 2017.

Rosana wore an elegant off-the-shoulder trumpet gown with a V-neckline, a lace and beaded overlay, a scoop back, and button and bow details on the back. She also wore a full-length lace veil. She carried a mixed bouquet of all-white flowers. Her maid of honor wore a full-length blush-colored halter-neck gown, and her four other bridesmaids wore strapless, shimmery, full-length, champagne-colored gowns with plunging V-necks. The maid of honor and the bridesmaids carried bouquets of white roses.

Erik dressed to impress in a classic black tuxedo with black bow tie, white pocket square, and white rose boutonniere. His five groomsmen dressed to match him.

During the ceremony, which included the Jewish wedding tradition of breaking a glass, the officiant said that love is a verb, and that Rosana and Erik believe that their relationship will last forever.

Inside at the reception, guests dined on pasta, breaded chicken, and salad.

Many people spoke during the toasts. Erik’s best man said that the moment he saw Erik and Rosana together, he knew they were perfect for each other. Rosana’s maid of honor said that she saw something change in Rosana after she met Erik. The groom’s brothers said that Erik and Rosana want to be the best versions of themselves for each other, and his sister told him what an awesome brother he’s been. Rosana’s parents told the guests that everyone in attendance is family, and Erik’s parents thanked everyone for sharing in the special day.

Rosana and Erik shared their first dance as a married couple to “Unforgettable” by Nat King Cole. Rosana and her father danced to “The Way You Look Tonight,” and Erik and his mother danced to “I Hope You Dance” by Lee Ann Womack.

The three-tier naked white wedding cake was accented with white roses and greenery and topped with an abstract husband-and-wife sculpture.

Erik and Rosana left their wedding under the signature sparkler send-off, and honeymooned in Antigua.

We wish them a lifetime of joy and happiness!
