Samantha and Michael, who met at work, were married on October 14, 2017.
Samantha looked lovely in a romantic lace strapless gown with a subtle sweetheart neckline, jeweled belt detail, and ruffled skirt. Her accessories included a pearl pendant necklace, satin jeweled Badgley Mischka heels, and a hip-length veil. Her bouquet was composed of roses and other blooms in pale hues of white, ivory, and pink. Her five bridesmaids wore individual full-length gowns in colors including peach, sage, and lilac. They carried smaller versions of the bride’s bouquet.
Michael got married in a classic black tuxedo with black vest, black bow tie, and white rose boutonniere. His six groomsmen wore black suits with black vests, black ties, and white rose boutonnieres.
During the ceremony, the officiant reminded the couple that marriage entails helping and supporting each other, because love bears all things. He also told them to live a little, laugh a little, and love a lot. Samantha and Michael shared wine during the ceremony.
At the reception, guests enjoyed a meal of mixed-greens salad with goat cheese, creamy Parmesan risotto, assorted grilled vegetables, filet mignon with Burgundy bordelaise sauce, and grilled chicken stuffed with prosciutto. There was also a table of assorted desserts to choose from. The wedding favors were espresso cups and saucers.
In the speeches, Michael’s best man joked about the risk he took in dating his boss’s daughter. The maid of honor said that Samantha’s biggest accomplishment is pinning Michael (the bride and groom are big wrestling fans). Samantha’s father said how proud he is of his daughter and new son-in-law, and that he knows Michael will make a great husband and father.
The bride and groom danced together. Samantha also shared a dance with her father, and Michael danced with his mother.
The two-tiered all-white wedding cake featured a brushed design, and was topped with flowers and a custom ornament with couple’s names and wedding date.
We wish Samantha and Michael a long and beautiful life together!
