Sarah and Adam were married on Saturday, August 6, 2016.
Sarah modeled a fitted, sleeveless wedding gown with a scoop neck and a lengthy train. She also wore a classic string of pearls around her neck. She held a hand-tied bouquet of red roses and wildflowers, as did the bridesmaids – who all donned deep fuchsia-colored, floor-length gowns with halter necklines.
Adam sported a charcoal gray, three-piece suit with a dark red necktie. The groomsmen wore gray slacks and vests with white dress shirts and crisscrossed-patterned neckties. One groomsman wore his USMC blue dress uniform.
During the indoor ceremony, the officiant talked about what different family members thought about marriage. He also said, “Marriage is loving and respecting one another at all times.” Sarah and Adam also read their own, personal vows.
Dinner started with Caesar salads, which was followed by grilled chicken and braised beef short ribs with creamy mashed potatoes, herb buttered vegetables, and lemon beurre. There was also a round, three-tiered, naked wedding cake which was chocolate-on-chocolate. It was adorned in red roses and baby’s breath, with two white bird cake toppers.
During toasts, the Maid of Honor, Lindsey, who is Sarah’s best friend and former college roommate, spoke. She said she couldn’t think of a more perfect person for Sarah than Adam, and that she’s so happy for them. Jared, the Best Man, has been one of Adam’s best friends since they met on the basketball team, and talked about how respectful Adam is to Sarah, and how he is a good communicator.
Sarah and Adam’s First Dance was to Ed Sheeran’s “Tenerife Sea.” The Father/Daughter Dance was to “I’ll Be Your Man” by Zac Brown Band, and the Mother/Son Dance was to “A Song For Mama” by Boyz II Men.
There were also red koozies with two lovebirds and “Adam & Sarah August 6, 2016” on them as favors for their guests.
We wish these lovebirds all the happiness in the world.
