Sarah and Dakota, who met in the military, were married on April 24, 2018.
Sarah looked lovely in a ballgown with cap sleeves, a deep V illusion neckline, embellished bodice, and full skirt. Her accessories included drop earrings, a pendant necklace, and a hip-length veil. Her bouquet was composed of a variety of white, red, and pink flowers. Her three bridesmaids wore matching wine-colored full-length halter-neck dresses. They carried modified versions of the bride’s bouquet.
Dakota got married in a three-piece black suit with a black vest, white shirt, wine-colored tie, and red rose boutonniere. His two groomsmen wore three-piece black suits with black vests, white shirts, wine-colored bow ties, and white rose boutonnieres.
During the ceremony, the officiant remarked that weddings are a snapshot of heaven, and that love perseveres and protects.
Afterward, guests enjoyed a meal that included caprese chicken, flatiron steak, twice-baked potatoes, and tri-colored tortellini.
The best man, Sarah’s brother, told Dakota that he had become part of the family even before the wedding day. The maid of honor said that she would not be who she was without Sarah, and likened Sarah without Dakota like an ocean without a beach — unimaginable.
Dakota and Sarah danced together for the first time as man and wife to “I Don’t Dance” by Lee Brice. Sarah and her father danced to “I Loved Her First” by Heartland. Dakota and his mother danced to “Boy” by Lee Brice.
The three-tier wedding cake was adorned with a bride and groom cake topper.
We wish the newlyweds all the best in their beautiful new life together!
