A Lifetime of Love
Sarah and Josh got married this past March here at the Villa, but their love story started long before. The couple actually met in the second grade, and their longtime friendship blossomed into love during their high school years. So when they finally tied the knot, it was a cause for celebration — and we certainly felt the love when their guests arrived for the big day.
The wedding took place in our Piazza Toscana, amid white and peach roses and the sounds of a string quartet. The bridal party looked lovely: the bridesmaids wore lacy, French blue dresses, while the groomsmen wore grey matching blue ties. Josh dressed up his suit with a white rose boutonniere — which matched the rose appliques on Sarah’s stunning mermaid-style gown. (Personally, we were particularly taken with her veil, which was attached to her gown at the shoulders like a superhero cape!) The couple exchanged vows and rings while the officiant reminded us all how special this relationship really was: for Sarah and Josh, this was just the next step in a long love story.
After the ceremony, guests headed inside for the reception. In the cocktail area, guests could write sweet messages and well-wishes for the couple and place them in an empty bottle, giving Sarah and Josh a “message in a bottle” to take home with them.
Sarah and Josh kicked off the reception with their first dance to Jack Johnson’s “Better Together.” Then, guests enjoyed a delicious meal of Caesar salad, twice baked potatoes, angel hair pasta in basil pesto sauce, caprese chicken stuffed with mozzarella, and flat iron steak with chimichurri sauce. YUM!
Throughout the night, family, the bridal party, and guests shared sweet stories of Sarah and Josh and their incredible romance. As far as we’re concerned, these lovely young sweethearts have a wonderful lifetime of love ahead of them.
