Sheena and Adam met at L.A. Fitness where Sheena was looking for a personal trainer who would push her. Adam was that trainer. From there fate took its course. Before their ceremony on March 9th, 2013, the couple stood with their backs against a wall around the corner from each other where they held hands without being able to see one another and read letters they had personally written.
The bride was confident and beautiful in a wedding gown with a beaded belt and ruffled bottom. The back laced up. Shoes were champagne colored with crystal accents. With her hair up, when she spun for the photographer, she created an image of carefree bliss. The spring bouquet was a bold and bright. The bridesmaids wore crimson strapless above-the-knee dresses and also carried multi-colored bouquets. Flower girls wore red floral headbands and dresses with crinoline skirts.
Adam and his groomsmen wore black tuxedos with crimson handkerchiefs and orchids in their lapels. When Adam saw his bride for the first time that day his face lit up. During the ceremony the officiant asked all the guests if they gave their blessing. The guests replied in unison ‘We do!’
Teresa, Sheena’s sister read the bible passage Corinthians 13:4-8. Then there was a surprise text from the couple’s dog that was read by the officiant saying he wished he could be there.
Both the mother of the bride and mother of the groom lit a unity candle to symbolize the two families becoming one.
At the reception, violet up-lighting and the couple’s name in lights greeted guests. A chalkboard seating chart laid out where everyone would sit for dinner. As people were getting settled, It’s All About the Benjamins by Puff Daddy, The Notorious B.I.G., The LOX & Lil’ Kim announced the couple’s grand entrance and was played for the groom’s last name. A Thousand Years was the song for the first dance, before Sheena’s father danced with his little girl to I Loved Her First.
A photo booth allowed guests to keep one strip of photos and glue a second into an advice book for the couple. Favors for those over 21 were bottles of homemade limoncello, while a garlic and rosemary olive oil were appreciated by those underage.
A table was set up with fresh Italian desserts and a wedding cake with a violet fondant flower satisfied guests. A traditional Villa Siena sparkler farewell ended the evening.
Congratulations Sheena and Adam. We wish you all the best.
