Shelbie and John were married on April 14, 2021.
Shelbie dazzled in a sleeveless fit-and-flare gown with embroidery and beadwork on the bodice, a scoop back, and a long lace train. She accessorized with drop earrings. Her bouquet was crafted from a variety of red and purple flowers.
John got married in a black suit with a black vest, black shirt, paisley bow tie, mini bouquet boutonniere, and paisley pocket square.
The couple were married in an outdoor ceremony by the groom’s brother, who advised them to never give up on each other.
Later, guests enjoyed a meal of classic Caesar salad; seasonal fresh vegetables in herb butter; twice-baked potatoes; grilled chicken breast marinated in olive oil and herbs with a garlic herb glaze; and grilled Atlantic salmon with Hollandaise and lemon beurre blanc sauce with crème fraiche and caviar.
Several people gave toasts, including the bride’s sister, one of the bride’s friend’s, and two of the groom’s friends. The wedding favors were rocks glasses that guests used for a toast.
Shelbie and John’s first dance was to “Why I Love You” by MAJOR. Shelbie and her father danced to “My Girl” by The Temptations. John and his mother danced to “A Song for Mama” by Boyz II Men. Other wedding fun included a bouquet and garter toss; a photobooth; a Polaroid station during cocktail hour; and activity clipboards for kids.
The three-tier wedding cake was made to look like a tree stump, with the couple’s initials inscribed in a heart on the tree. It was topped with wedding ring decorations.
John and Shelbie left their wedding under the signature sparkler send-off.
We wish the newlyweds a lifetime of happiness together!
