A Sweet Winter Wedding for Shelby and Lowell
Shelby and Lowell are high school sweethearts, so they already have had plenty of beautiful moments in their love story together. But we at the Villa wanted their wedding day to be extra special — so we made sure their December nuptials were exactly as they imagined.
On the big day, the bride and groom were dressed to impress. Shelby looked lovely in her sparkly A-line gown with a sweetheart neckline and lace skirt. Lowell looked sharp in his classic black suit and bright blue bow tie. Even the couple’s pup got dressed up for the occasion, sporting a bandana that said “Dog of Honor!”
The ceremony took place outside in our Plaza Toscana. The Plaza was decorated with lush green floral arrangements, a white aisle runner, and red rose petals scattered throughout. Before Shelby walked down the aisle, 5 flower girls (all adorable and dressed in blue) walked down and scattered additional petals to signal her arrival.
Once the bride and groom were at the altar, the officiant kicked things off by reciting “The Union” by Robert Fulgham. Then, Shelby and Lowell recited their own vows, promising to love one another for the rest of their lives. Soon, it was time to kiss the bride and start the party!
Guests moved into the reception hall, which was decorated with candles and elegant white linens. The newlyweds shared their first dance to “Somewhere Over The Rainbow,” then danced with their mother and father, respectively. Finally, it was time for everyone to sit down to a delicious meal of spring mix salad, herb roasted red potatoes, creamy parmesan risotto, braised beef short ribs, and grilled chicken with a garlic herb glaze.
The night was filled with dancing, laughter, and love — and if you ask us, it was the perfect way for these long-time sweethearts to start their happily ever after.
