Sydney & Willie ~ December 8, 2019

A Winter Wedding for a Love that’s “Ever-Green”

When Sydney and Willie first met (through the dating app Bumble), neither of them had any clue that they’d met the one. But soon enough, it was clear to everyone that their love was one that’s built to last. The couple tied the knot at the Villa on December 8th, in a gorgeous ceremony decorated in gold, white, and green.

The couple decorated our outdoor courtyard with poinsettias, pine cones, and evergreen branches (a subtle nod to the holiday season that was just around the corner). The rest of the decor featured a beautiful color palette of green and gold with white accents.

The wedding party was dressed to match these colors; the bridesmaids wore lovely emerald-green dresses while the groomsmen dressed up their black tuxes with emerald bow ties and pocket squares.

Willie took his place at the altar once the ceremony began (set to the music of a live keyboardist and violinist), looking sharp in his black tux and matching black bowtie. His eyes lit up as he saw his bride coming down the aisle — and it wasn’t hard to see why! Sydney was stunning her strapless gown, which featured a sweetheart neckline, court train, and sequin details for extra glamour. Soon, she was at Willie’s side, and it was time to begin this beautiful ceremony.

The couple added many unique aspects to their ceremony, giving the wedding a little personal flair. They opened by reading a sweet poem, before performing a tree setting ceremony to signify their unity. The bride and groom each pour soil from their homes into a pot that contained a small tree, which they planned to plant at their home after the wedding. Then, there was the exchanging of vows and rings, a kiss to seal the deal, and the newlyweds were officially husband and wife!

After the ceremony, guests headed inside for a lively and fun reception. Guests danced to live music and enjoyed a buffet-style dinner of salad (napa valley and caesar), pasta valducci, creamy pesto pasta, lemon chicken, and gorgonzola chicken. The couple shared touching dances with each other and their parents, and everyone reveled in good times and good company, right up to the sparkler exit at the end of the night! It was truly a night to remember, and we know it’s just the start of a love story that’s really ever-green!
