Brandon and Taylor, who met during their sophomore year of high school, became man and wife on May 11, 2019.
Taylor chose a romantic strapless fit-and-flare trumpet gown with a lace overlay and a train. Her accessories included drop earrings and crystal-studded heels. Her bouquet was a combination of white flowers, succulents, and botanical accents. Her six bridesmaids wore coordinate pale-blue full-length dresses. They carried modified versions of the bride’s bouquet.
Brandon looked handsome in a dark gray suit with a dark gray vest, white shirt, blue tie, blue pocket square, and white flower boutonniere. His six groomsmen wore light gray suits with white shirts, light gray ties, blue bow ties, blue pocket squares, and white flower boutonnieres.
Taylor and Brandon performed a sand ritual during the ceremony to signify the joining of their lives together.
Later, at the reception, guests dined on Caesar salad, twice-baked potatoes, grilled vegetables, chicken in mushroom Marsala sauce, and flank steak. The signature cocktail, the Maker Happy, was made of Makers Mark, lemon juice, simple syrup, and ginger ale.
During the speeches, the bride’s parents congratulated Brandon for joining the family and talked about Taylor’s career as a nurse. The matron of honor, the bride’s sister, told stories about their childhood and spoke about how Taylor was always there for her. The best man, the groom’s cousin, talked about how close they were and welcomed Taylor to the family. The groom’s brother spoke about how happy he was that Taylor was joining their family.
Taylor and Brandon’s first dance was to “Beyond” by Leon Bridges. Taylor and her father danced to “Daddy’s Angel” by T Carter Music. Brandon and his mother danced to “It’s Your Song” by Garth Brooks. Other wedding fun included games of cornhole.
The three-tier wedding cake had white top and bottom layers and a blue middle layer.
We wish the newlyweds love and joy in their future together!
