Tiffany and Richard met through mutual acquaintances via social media and ChristianMingle, and were married on Sunday, May 29, 2016.
Tiffany modeled a Stella York wedding gown from David’s Bridal, complete with a fitted bodice, sweetheart neckline, and corset back. She held a posy bouquet of purple, lavender, and cream-colored roses. Her eight bridesmaids donned asymmetrical black sheath gowns, and held smaller bouquets of purple and white roses.
Richard sported a two-piece black suit with a black dress shirt and purple necktie. His groomsmen wore two-piece black suits with white dress shirts, and purple vests and neckties – their lapels ornamented with a white rose.
The outdoor ceremony was held at the end of a purple petal-strewn white carpet. Tiffany and Richard stated their own vows, but the officiant had a little fun with it – asking, “Do you promise to…take the trash out?”
A buffet dinner followed, which included salad and later marinated chicken, roast beef, green beans, and red potatoes. The kid’s menu included chicken fingers, mac and cheese, and fruit cups. The four-tiered white wedding cake was adorned in purple ribbon, cross-stitch piping, and flower petals. The date was displayed in Roman numerals, their initials marked the top layer, and His and Her chair-themed cake topper crowned the dessert, reading, “You Are My Greatest Adventure.”
During the reception, there was a memory table for those who have passed, which followed a gesture made during the ceremony (empty chairs with photos of passed loved ones).
During toasts, Tiffany’s younger sister Jackie talked about how close she is to Tiffany, and asked Richard to take care of her sister. The Father of the Bride recounted how Richard asked for Tiffany’s hand in marriage. Richard’s younger brother talked about how much Richard has helped him grow, and how Tiffany makes Richard a better man. The Father of the Groom also spoke, giving advice like using words like “we.”
Tiffany and Richard’s First Dance was to Bryan Adams’ “Everything I Do I Do It For You,” which evoked the guests to get out on the dance floor and surround the bride and groom.
We wish Tiffany and Richard all the best in their new life together!
