The wedding date of August 2, 2014 came approximately six years after Valerie and Joseph started dating. Valerie wore an Oleg Cassini gown from David’s Bridal. The gown was fitted with a traditional silhouette, wide lace straps, lace overlay and a shimmering array of sequins. A cathedral length veil completed the look. Valerie carried a bright, summery bouquet of coral roses. Her bridesmaids wore Seafoam green dresses also from David’s Bridal and carried smaller versions of the bride’s bouquet. Joseph wore a black tuxedo with coral bowtie and a single coral rose in his lapel. The groomsmen wore Seafoam green vests and ties while the best man wore a coral tie and vest.

A red runner led to the altar with coral rose petals lining the sides. The indoor ceremony included the lighting of a unity candle and a rose ceremony for the couple’s mothers. The groom’s grandmother read a passage to the couple.

As guests signed in at the reception table, they were asked to put well wishes on blocks of a Jenga game guestbook. A more traditional guest book was also available.

During the evening’s festivities, the couple’s name and date of marriage were lit up on the floor of the Firenze Ballroom. The first dance was to The Rose by Bette Midler followed by the father & daughter dance to I Loved Her First and then the mother & son dance to Simple Man with mash-up edits.

The wedding cake was a four-tiered cake wrapped in white fondant with white detailed piping on alternating layers. The middle layer included the couple’s name and date of marriage. Each tier was wrapped with coral ribbon and fresh coral colored roses. The cake had a custom topper of the couple and their dog.

Favors were shot glasses engraved with the bride and groom’s name and the date of their wedding.

Congratulations Valerie and Joseph. May the next six years of your lives together be even better than the first six. We wish you the best.
