December 29, 2015 Vanessa and Michelangelo married. The couple first met working together in college where both attended the Newman Center. For their wedding ceremony they returned to the All Saint’s Catholic Newman Center at Arizona State University. The reception was held at Villa Siena.
For both the ceremony and reception, the bride wore a wedding gown from Kaira’s Bridal with a plunging V-neckline and beading across the top edge of the dress. A keyhole opening created a dramatic statement in back. Vanessa wore both a diamond tiara and cathedral length veil for the ceremony and photographs then wore just the tiara for the reception. She carried a cascading bouquet of white roses and greenery while her bridesmaids had simple white floral bouquets. The bridesmaids accented the bride nicely in grey dresses with empire waists and different style tops. For wed his bride, Michelangelo wore a black tuxedo with a white shirt and a black bowtie. His groomsmen were also in black tuxedos but wore silver vests and ties.
During speeches the best man wished the bride and groom love and happiness. A blessing was offered before dinner. After dinner wedding cake was sliced and served. The cake was three tiers covered in white fondant. The top and bottom tiers were decorated with intricate piping detail while the middle tier had a monogrammed ‘R.’ The entire cake was finished with fresh blush colored roses.
As part of the celebration, the bride did a bouquet toss for the single ladies before the groom removed Vanessa’s garter to toss to the single men in the crowd in order to determine who would be the next to marry.
The night ended with a signature sparkler farewell. Congratulations Vanessa and Michelangelo. May your lives together be your greatest blessing. We wish you the best.
