Victoria & Kevin ~ October 31, 2013

October 31, 2013 celebrated the love of Victoria and Kevin at Villa Siena. The couple met through mutual friends and found a life together.

Their traditional ceremony was conducted by a female officiant and included a trendy wine ceremony where the couple mixed vintages of wine to symbolize their coming together as one. There was also a sand ceremony were the sands were poured into a glass heart-shaped vessel.

Because their ceremony was on Halloween, the couple brought that theme into the night with love potions and graveyard dust in ceramic containers. The entrance gate was decorated with a mask, which the flower girl also wore as she announced the start of the ceremony. The guest sign-in table had a framed page to be signed by guests surrounded by candles and masks.

The runner leading to the altar and to Kevin was red with red rose petals and lanterns lining the rows of chairs. Kevin wore a black tuxedo with white shirt and tie. He and all his groomsmen wore Converse sneakers. His bride wore a strapless gown with ruffles that led to a seductive edging of tulle at the base of the dress. Her bouquet brought in the reds and golds of the season. Bridesmaids wore black satin gowns with different colored Converse shoes.

During the couple’s first dance, red up lighting flooded the room and highlighted the couple’s monogrammed initials shining on the wall.

Trick or treat was the theme and from what we could tell there were a lot more delicious treats than tricks that night. Favors were caramel apples, small beaded spiders and a sucker for each guest. For a stunning effect, the three-tiered cake boasted a gothic feel with black ribbon, a harlequin design on the middle layer and fresh red roses with a blood red curlicue design coming down the cake.

Throughout the villa candles, vases and lanterns cast light and shadows. What a perfect way to celebrate Halloween and love. Congratulations Victoria & Kevin. May your life together be filled with few tricks and many treats throughout the years to come. We wish you the best.
